SMART Dogs uses the most positive, scientifically proven methods to enhance the relationship between you and your canine companions. Our rural facility offers indoor climate controlled rooms for boarding and play, as well as many fenced outdoor dog runs for individual dogs and social interactions.

We adhere to LIMA (Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive) techniques that require trainers and behaviour consultants to utilize specific techniques that are more likely to achieve training or a behaviour change objective with minimal risk of producing adverse side effects.

I, Sammy, am a member of APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) and the PPG (Professional Pet Guild). I am also certified in animal healing techniques as a Reiki Master and Advanced Crystal Therapy Healer. I have also taken multiple courses in energy healing and shamanism. I continually strive to upgrade my education so I can offer clients the most up to date, scientific, and positive training methods.

I have worked with dogs for over 20 years, including travelling and competing across North America with groups such as Super Dogs, Wolf Jocks, and Canine Stars. I have won titles in agility, obedience, rally-o, disc, flyball, and scenting. Above all, I am an animal lover with a passion for enriching their lives any way I can. I personally live with dogs, cats, pigs, tortoises, tarantulas and ferrets, while caring for chickens, ducks, turkeys, peacocks, and rabbits outdoors.
